My August 2020 Favorites
This month has been a product packed adventure for me. The quarantine life has influenced me in such a bad way of purchasing too many products! One thing I can say is most of the products I've purchased I absolutely love! So let us get into my list.
FENTY SKIN
Now you already know this will be on the list, granted I haven't used it for very long, but for the amount of time that I have used it, I absolutely live for this collection! The cleanser does what it's supposed to, cleanse. I love how it makes my skin nice and clean but does leave my skin dry. The toner feels really good on the skin and I like that it has a little thicker consistency than normal toners. I also love the applicator on the toner, you twist it from the top and the product comes out from the hole in the top of the cap. My favorite item of the collection is the moisturizer. My face feels smooth and moisturized all day with this moisturizer. I also love the scent, it's has a strong yet refreshing smell.
JUVIA’S PLACE LIP COLLECTION
I've been a fan of this makeup line for quite some time now but it was for solely their eyeshadow palettes. This time I decided to try out their lip products so I purchase the whole Nude Lip collection. One of the smartest purchases I made this year! The collection includes 12 shades of lipstick in The Nude Velvety Matte Lipstick collection, 6 lip pencils in the Luxe Lip Liner collection, 3 colors in The Glass Gloss connection, and 4 colors in The Reflect Lip collection. I am so obsessed with this whole connections. All the lip products are nice and creamy and the colors are just purely amazing for women of color! The lipsticks and lip liners go on creamy and pigmented. My go-to favorite lip combination is the Kola lip pencil with the Me lipstick topped off with Sis! lip gloss.
CHANEL CHANCE
I'm a sucker for high-end perfumes and Chanel is one of my absolute favorites perfume lines! Honey, Chanel never disappoints me and with the Chance EAU Tendre Eau de Toilette, it's confirmed that Chanel can do no wrong! This scent is just heaven! it gives me grown and sexy vibes and the scent lasts all day on the skin. There's nothing more to say, I just love, love this perfume!
SOL JANERIO COCO CABANA CREAM
Now I've been using this lotion for quite some time now and it is another go-to product for me, I even purchased the mini jar to have in my purse. This lotion does its job of keeping my skin nice and moisturize. Now let's talk about the scent, it has a very strong coconut smell, too some it may be a bit much but for me I love it! The scent reminds me of pina colada. The consistency of the lotion is thick and when you apply it to the skin, it will be a little sticky but the stickiness will go away one the lotion settles into the skin.
MAYBELLINE TOTAL TEMPTATION BROW DEFINER
This brow pencil is perfect for the everyday natural brow lol. It's has a soft finish to the brows which is perfect for me during the week since I wear minimum makeup for work.
TOO FACED BETTER THAN SEX MASCARA
I live for this mascara! I just love how it feathers out my lash and no clumping! I usually apply two coats and my lashes stand out!
HEEL TO TOE HEEL INTENSIVE CARE FOOT SOFTNER
My last favorite product of August, this does wonders in keeping my feet smooth and soft. I purchased this product from Sally's Beauty Supply for $6.99 and it's been one the smartest purchases I've made for my feet. I apply this softener on my heels and bottom of my feet right after I shower and wear socks overnight for maximum results. This product also does a great job of getting rid of cracked and calluses.
